SUNDAY DAY 12 THE END January 14, 2008

We cast off from our hosts about 9 A.M. with the high hopes of a sailing breeze that was forecast by NOAA. Well, it was a forecast. The wind was out of the east as forecast, but it was 5-10, not the 10-15 knots we need to maintain the 6 knots over ground to meet out goal. We therefore went inside to Charlotte Harbor and on to Punta Gordo. We did get some great sailing in, but only for 30 – 60 minutes at a time. Between we had to motor.
The 4 of use had cocktails aboard Passion and we had a wonderful meal at the home of our hostess. Tomorrow we secure the boat for 3 weeks, rent a car, load it up with our 2 weeks of dirty laundry and prepare to head home.
For the blog, it is back to getting Nightwatch back to “Bristol Condition.
