When we anchored this past weekend, the wife went and checked the forward storage area. Yep, lots of water. I pumped it out and went into the anchor locker. We had a good wind and with full sail were pressing hard. When doing that the drain for the anchor locker is under water. When the boat has a bone in her teeth, the drain can be a foot under water. As I pulled the anchor line out of the way, the part near the bottom was soaked. The bottom of the anchor well is about 3 inches below the new hose I had installed, and not calked for the wash down system. While I had everything out of the way, I calked the hole. Pumped and dried out the storage compartment and had a well deserved beer.

The next day the wind was as good and we sailed home again with the boat having a bone in her teeth. Upon arrival we checked the compartment and found a little water inside that could be soaked up with ½ a paper towel. Back with a little more calk and now waiting to go sailing again. That will be Labor Day weekend, weather permitting. This is race a weekend.
