ON THE WATER-WAHOOOOO December 19, 2011

Posted by sailingnightwatch in Durbeck, FL, Florida, ICW, Pensacola, Repairs, Restoration, Sailing, Sailing the ICW.

Not on Nightwatch, but on Passion. That is the dock lord’s boat. PYC had there Christmas boat parade, and we, yes, that included the crippled Mary, came along to crew. There were about 10 boats that participated. That was cool.

We went out into the bay and down by the city pier. Then we went back into Bayou Chico and ran into another parade as it was heading out. The area is not meant to have deep draft boats moving around each other in the dark. I did not here of any scraped fiberglass, so all ended well. After wards, there was a gathering at the sailing center for finger food, libations and the handing out of prizes. We won.

The mate and I came home early. That was her first outing since her operation it went well. It was good to get out on a boat. We are going to go to the Wharf for New Years. We had been going to the Pelican Drop in Pensacola for the past couple years, but the mooring cost went out of sight this year. We will see how this goes.

Have a Merry, Blessed Christmas.
