Had my niece and her husband come by from DC. One works for the State Dept the other for a Senator. They were going to a wedding in Mobile and thought a day of sailing would kick the weekend off right. They arrived late Thursday and we sail Friday morning. Not much wind so we anchored by Ft Pickens and walked across to the Gulf. The water looked like the Bahamas. The wind picked up and we were able to sail home in time for them to head to Mobile and the wedding rehearsal.

As soon as they were off the boat, we cast off and spent the night at Ft Mcray. We had a raft up at Pirates Cove on Saturday. We motored over there and had a good time with the yacht club friends. Early Sunday morning the weather turned bad. Lots of rain and wind. By early morning the storms had passed, but the forecast was for more of the same. We left about 8:30 and motored all the way back. By the time we got the boat to bed, we were ready for bed.
