DID IT November 5, 2012

For 14 years I have been looking for the perfect place to anchor and watch the Blue’s perform their home show. This year I got it right. It was a perfect day with temps in the low 70’s and a breeze that started in the north and moved to the west at around 12 knots. The best picture is also the worse. Between a slow camera man and slow camera, I got 2/3 of a F-18 flying over my mast. Someone who knows the wingspan of a F-18 may be able to calculate the height. I am guessing about 200 feet and about 200 mph. We had 5 direct flyovers. Best show yet.

Other notables was a helicopter that did all the stunts a regular stunt plane can do. Did not know you could do that with a helicopter. The other was a flight of 11 planes that did stunt and formations in groups of 3, 4 or all 11. They had so much going on you did not know where to look. I hope they come back for more shows.

Fat Albert’s new paint job looks great.
