ANOTHER YEAR IN THE CAN December 31, 2012

Posted by sailingnightwatch in Durbeck, FL, Florida, ICW, Pensacola, Repairs, Restoration, Sailing, Sailing the ICW.

Today is New Years Eve and also BaHumBug day(the day we take down the decorations) We usually do this on New Years day, but the weather is suppose to be rainy, and today was windless, rainless, and 60 degrees. About perfect. BaHumBug! Being windless is good for getting the lights down off the masts. I have had them hang up on windy days and had to go up the mast to untangle them. Makes my neighbors go BaHumBug when they have to drag my expanded Christmas body 53 feet into the air. I am on lunch break now then off to storage and back to get cleaned up for a New Years Eve party tonight. That will take the edge off BaHumBug day.

IU basketball in 3 hours also. Last time I watched, they got beat by Butler in OT. Not good, but Butler did outplay them at the end.

Happy New Year all, and do not drink and drive.
