The granddaughter is here and we sailed to Red Fish Point. Three hours of sailing got her bored. That is not bad, I have an adult power boat friend who gets bored sailing by the time you set the sails. We dropped the hook then the dingy and off I went with my speed freak granddaughter. That she liked. Then loading every body and everything for the beach and went ashore. The Gulf was perfect. Dinner was good and all was well till midnight.

That is when this glob of thunderstorms decided to park over us for the next 12 hours. High winds and inches of rain. I ended up with 100 feet of chain down in 12 feet of water. It held great. But, just in case, I set the Bruce anchor on the bottom and had chain and rode flaked out on deck just in case we would drag. All was secure, but it did take a while retrieving all the ground tackle.

The weather abated some by noon, so we got underway for home. I could have sailed, but motored all the way with my crew and guests stuck below and my driving in the rain. The rain did stop about 500 yards from the entrance to the canal.

Well its Monday and still raining. It is suppose to stop after lunch. I hope so. We have colored and drawn about as much as you can. I had been given the mate a hard time about buying all this stuff to entertain the granddaughter. Little did grandpa know. Grandma did good.
