FROM THE LAND OF ETERNAL RAINFALL July 15, 2013

All right all ready. The tropical waves use to pass through about once a week and we would get our rainfall. Not this year. It’s like they have no place to go and just sit on us and rain. Sometimes lightly, like now, sometimes heavy like at 4:30 this morning. Then we are talking inches per hour. It has been so bad that at times the little critters are lining up on the pier. I keep telling them, only 2, only 2 and it must be your mate. Then they crawl off the pier to work things out.

I must admit, when the clouds part we have had some beautiful clear sky’s between the clouds. Needless to say I have not been sailing much. Oh well, cast off day is coming.

Speaking of which, I got my wind generator this week. Nice. My mizzen is raked aft 3.5 degrees. So I have to figure my drill pattern for the bolt holes to bolt it on. Got to be right the first time. It will be installed in Sept at our haul out. Something to play with in the rain.
