There was some tropical area in the SW Gulf of Mexico that dissipated and sent it’s rain to us and all the way to the Carolinas. From Friday night to Saturday afternoon we got 5.5 inches of rain. From Saturday afternoon to Cocktail time on Sunday we got another 2.5 inches. It rained hard.

The animals were again lining up beside the boat, 2 by 2’s. I keep telling the little critters this is not an ark, and that we are only getting ready to go cruising, not save little bugs. Some how I missed the little ants and they may have come aboard 2 by 2 but they got busy and now they have lots of relatives. I think they blow off the pine tree that is beside the boat. We do have stuff that does in the ants. A bigger problem is little spiders. On occasion we get one inside, but we see them more on deck. When that happens, there life expectancy becomes very short.

The weekend was not a total waste. We got some inside projects done that need to be done before going cruising
