My Dock Lord and Lady hosted a party for us Saturday afternoon. Had neighbors and friends over for drinks and heavy Horse de ors. It was great.

Major projects are done, down to 2 small but hard projects. Have to replace my 5 year old starting battery. It is in a place that is almost impossible to get to. And its not exactly light or small. Not looking forward to that at all.

The second is more interesting. The cable controlling the radar is in a PVC pipe that was pop riveted to the inside of the mast. It has gotten free and as the boat rolls bangs against the inside of the mast. It is one of those things you may fall asleep through, but if you wake up in the middle of the night, it will drive you crazy. I have made some SS hooks that I will feed through a hole I will drill beside the PVC and snag the pipe and tighten the nut on the outside of the mast to hold it tight. At least that is the plan.

The Mate is still stocking the boat. I think she is a long ways from where she wants to be in getting ready. She is stressed out. Tomorrow is her last day of work and that will give her some time to get to a point that we can finish in Tampa before Christmas.

The books all say you never get finished getting ready. That’s OK. Its going that counts. There are always reasons not to.
